MultiFile don't work in IE8

Tobi

Hi Dean,

I've got a problem with multifile and IE8. When clicking the Button to upload files I only get multi.Files.Length = 0
In IE 7 and Firefox everything is fine. There I get multi.Files.Length > 0 if I have selected files for upload.

Isn't it terrible with all this variations of browsers?

Thanks, Tobi

What version of NeatUpload are you using?  Also, does the browser have the Flash player installed and what is the value of the MultiFile's useFlashIfAvailable attribute?

- I use version 1.3.11
- Flash player is installed
- <Upload:MultiFile id="multiFile" runat="server" useFlashIfAvailable="true" flashFilterExtensions="*.jpg">
      <asp:Button id="multiFileButton" Enabled="<%# multiFile.Enabled %>" runat="server" CssClass="Button" style="cursor:pointer;" />

</Upload:MultiFile>

By the way. With the RegularExpressionValidator of your demo.aspx "([^.]+[.](jpg|JPG); *)*([^.]+[.](jpg|JPG))?$" to check the file extensions, one can't choose files or paths with a "." inside for example "c:\test.folder\test.jpg" isn't allowed by the regex. Do you probably know an expression to solve this?

Thank you very much, Tobi

I was able to repro the MultiFile issue.  The fix will be in 1.3.12.

The fix for the regex is to use:

(([^.;]*[.])+(jpg|JPG); *)*(([^.;]*[.])+(jpg|JPG))?$

Thanks for the bug reports!
